About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Transit through China

I am travelling from South Korea to Beijing for 2/3 days, then onward to Japan and ultimately back to South Korea. Will I be okay for this visa free transit allowance? Do I need anything special from the airline or just proof of passage? Thanks

It is ok to transit without visa if you have onward ticket to Japan and the boarding pass from South Korea to Beijing.

Thank you. I called and verified this, however I am having trouble getting through now.

Another question is I will go from Korea to China, and then while going to Japan I will transfer planes in Korea again. Is that a problem? Thank you.

I am afraid you are not qualified if you will transit in South Korea again from Beijing to Japan. Anyway, you can try to contact Beijing Airport directly for further confirmation via 86-10-56095400.
