who created the great wall of china and why did they make an dhow long did it take?

The wall was created by many Chinese people and the wall was built to defend the invaders from the other countries.
The wall was first built in the Spring and Autumn Dynasties and after that every dynasty would built the wall of their own dynasty. In Qing Dynasty, the construction stopped.
