About:China Work Visa

Do I need to apply for a work permit from my home country?

Hi, I was just told by a potential employer that I have to apply for the work visa from my home country. Is this correct? I have not lived or been in my country for about 5 years. There is a Chinese embassy in my city.

As I know, you can apply in Cambodia for a work visa if your invitation letter is addressed to Chinese embassy in Cambodia. But you'd better confirm this with the embassy directly.
