About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

24 hour visa free transit

Hi all, holder of Macedonian passport, am going to travel Sydney-Guangzhou-Beijing-Istanbul and return ticket. Would be less then 24 hours in Republic of China, embassy said I do not need a visa to transit as long as I don't leave customs. I am little bit confused cause the flight Guangzhoou-Beijing is a domestic flight. Any body has experience or knowledge on this, will appreciate it grately :)

Hi, as what you were told, visa is not required if your total stopover is less than 24 hours and you will not leave the airport during transit in China.

I am not sure leaving customs (transit area) is the same as leaving the airport.
