If I bought only a one way ticket to Beijing

If I have bought only a one way flight ticket to Beijing (I know I will be leaving china after touring for 4-5 months for sure but don't know yet when exactly and from which airport i'll be leaving) - will I be still able to apply for a tourist visa only with a one way ticket at hand?
thanks

I am afraid not, round-trip ticket is required for tourist L application. Also, for a single entry, generally you will be granted 30 days as duration for you stay. The single entry L can be extended at most twice only with 30 days each, so it is impossible to stay for 4-5 months.
