Airline crew... Do I need a visa for Beijing for a day trip

I'm Airline crew I'm flying to shanghai on work trip i've got my work visa , i would like to do a day trip to Beijing by train on my days off in shanghai... Do I need to apply for a visa?

If you have Chinese work Z visa, you can visit Beijing as you like, actually you are allowed to visit any city within mainland China without visa, except Tibet.
