About:China Travel Tips

Help want to trip besides Hangzhou and Shanghai

I will be in Hangzhou on 7 Apr and will be in Shanghai from 9 to 10 Apr. I have been in Hangzhou & Shanghai before but would like to explore some areas outside of Shanghai & Hangzhou. I will be flying out of Hangzhou on 16 Apr. I appreciate if you could recommend other places of interest from Shanghai and from Hangzhou. Thank you.

Hi, I traveled in China last Oct.
Out of Hangzhou, I recommend you go to visit Suzhou, which is within 1.5h high-speed train distance away. There you can go and visit Zhouzhuang Water Town as well as the local Sisters Gardens. Also have you had visited Thousand Islets Lake in Hangzhou, if notm it is highly recommended.

From Shanghai, you can go to Jiaxing, where you can enjoy the Wuzhen Water Town and Nanhu Lake. Or about 1.5h high-speed train distance away from Shanghai, Nanjing is also a worthy destination.
