Do Namibian passport holders need tourist visa's for entry into China.

I will be working in Hong Kong from July - August and after that I wish to visit China. Will I have to apply for the visa here in Namibia before I leave for Hong Kong or is there any way I can apply in Hong Kong.. as I see the visas are only valid for 3 months upon approval?
