About:Chinese Embassy in Pakistan

which form to use when applying under L Category(Family Visit) Visa,FORM V.2011A OR FORM V.2012A?

Which form should be used for applying under family visit (L category)from Lahore,Pakistan -FORM V.2011A OR FORM V.2012A?
I am confused between these because the embassy website has the Form V.2012A uploaded in its' Download Forms' section, whereas the 'Instructions ' refers to using the FORM V.2011A/B because it states"New application form (Form V.2011A/B) should be used (downloadable from this website). The old application form will NOT be acceptable after 1 July 2011...". So there is an inherent contradiction?
An urgent reply would be appreciated.

You should use V2012A for application. These two forms are newly released but without introduction. so, they suggest to read old introductions if you need when fill in the new form. Some of other countries also introduced 2012 new version of application forms.

L should be ok. Invitation letter is required then. The letter should include your personal information, such as name, gender, and date of birth; and purpose of the visit, travel itinerary such as date of entry and exit, places of visit, relationship between you and the inviter, and who will bear the expenses there. Besides, copies of inviter's ID Card (if Chinese); passport information page, valid visa or residence permit (foreigners) are required as well.

thanks a lot.Does the invitation letter from my friend need to be attested by the local Foreign Office and then sent to me and the embassy in Pak?Or is it okay if the inviter's letter is not attested?
Pls also tell me that do they need health insurance if they are travelling for the first time on L category? If they do, where to get this from? Are there any recognized travel insurance companies which provide for such insurance here?
Thanksss so much!Your help is much appreciated!

So far as I know, L is issued to visit direct relative. Health insurance is not required. For the invitation letter, I am afraid you have to contact one of the travel agency and join a tour group. Visiting a friend may be refused by the embassy. So, better contact the embassy directly for the latest requirements.
