is there a cat in the chinese zodiac?

is there a cat in the chinese zodiac i seen a movie fruits basket but i didn't under stand is there a cat in the chinese zodiac?

No there isn't.

In fruits basket, the legend that there was supposed to be a cat in the Chinese Astrology is explained. This is only a legend, however, and nobody really knows why the 12 signs are the 12 animals that they are.

The most obvious explanation is that the 12 animals were chosen to fit the personalities of the signs. For example, people born under the third sign are generally good leaders, just like tigers, so the third sign was called the sign of the tiger.

The cat wasn't chosen to fit any of these 12 personalities because other animals were considered better matches. It really isn't any more spectacular than that.

No there isn't. Some people refer to the rabbit as the cat, though. Possibly because these two animals have similar characteristics.
