About:Urumqi Travel

Hi, I guess March is still winter time in Urumqi.

Does anyone have suggestions on what to do there? I only actually have two days. Do you think the heavenly lake is accessible and worth going to during this time? I was told there are places to ski nearby, has anyone tried them? I guess I can also go to the markets and see if there's any interesting nightlife, any suggestions for that too?

Generally, it is still during winter in March there. According to the weather forecast, the average temp of this March would be about zero centigrade degree. Winter clothes are still suggested if you wanna go there.

As I know, the Heavenly Lake would not be accessible in March and the route leading to the lake would not open until June. But skiing is surely a good choice. Near U city, Weisite Ski Rosort is suggested. Generally, it will not be cloes until April due to the temperature.

In the city, Wuyi Xingguang Night Market will leave you a deep impression.

Hi ,
Its possible go up to the Heavenly lake in March even in January and February .last week i have been there . it was suuny and not too cold there .i highly recommend you go up to the lake .
Another good options for ski place is Silk road international ski spot ,its standard ski area near Southern pasture which is surrounding with pine trees .
In the city you can go to Grand Bazzar ,Erdaoqiao market and province museum .
