About:China Visa Application in UK

Do I need to Fill in Section 7, as my son is only seventeen when he travels to Shanghai?

my son is seventeen and travelling to shanghai to visit a friend. Do I have to complete Section Seven of the visa application?

The application form says "Parent or guardian may sign on behalf of a minor aged less than 18 years." So I think you need to fill the application form on behalf of your son and of course the section 7 part.
