Transit China

I am Egyptian and planning to travel to Hong Kong via China (Guangzhou- Baiyun INTL airport), I will only have a connection flight at Baiyun INTL airport, I don't intend to enter China, do I need a visa in the case of transit only? Thanks in advance :)
