About:Hangzhou Train Schedule

Today I traveled from Pu Dong to Hongqiao railway station (1 hour journey),

intending on traveling to Hangzhou. I COULDN'T GET A TICKET BECAUSE I DID NOT HAVE MY PASSPORT WITH ME!!!! What's up with that??? I've taken long-distance buses and ferries here, and never showed my passport. What a stupid rule. To need a passport to take a domestic train for a 40 minute ride, it took me longer to arrive to the station via the metro--only to have to turn back around. Thanks so much for wasting my time and for not informing customers correctly.

Sorry for your experience. Passengers need to hold passports or ID cards when buying train tickets due to the Real-Name Ticket Policy. https://www.travelchinaguide.com/china-trains/ticket-service.htm#1
