About:Year of the Tiger

am i a RABBIT or a TIGER ?

according to many sites i was born in the year of RABBIT 1987
but in other sites according to the exact date of birth which is JAN 9 ,1987 i am a TIGER

couls someone tell me the difference ?????????

hey nasa,
you are getting different results as the chinese new year is roughly today (i am celebrating it today) and websites tell you the sign for the general year; you are a tiger because you were born at the very end of the year of the tiger, but are finding results as a rabbit because the majority of the year 1987 was the year of the rabbit.

if you were born in Jan 9 , 1987....then according to the date above 9/2/1986 - 28/1/1987....which means you are a Tiger but if you are born 29 Jan , 1 Feb, onwards then you are a Rabbit

Because the Chinese new year is different and is actually based on the Lunar Calendar. For years I thought I was a rabbit. Today is the Chinese New Year so Happy New Year

You are a tiger. This goes by the cycles of the moon and each year it ends and starts on different days of the normal calendar year. Your birthday happened before the New Year of the Rabbit

You have to go by the when the Chinese year starts not when the weatren one starts, unless you are born in late febuary. Since I was born in June, I am a tiger. I was born in the Year of the Elder Metal Tiger in the month of the horse and the hour of the dog. This give a bit of a headach to my Tiger side. To add to the mix, I was also born in the Year of the Tiger walking down the Mountain. It make me more peaceful then soem of the other signs. So look up when the Chineese New Year started, and you will find out which one you are.
