About:China Visa Exemption

Visa Free Stay Period-What if you go a few hours over the 72 hours?

I will arrive in Shanghai on the 2nd of March at 12.40pm. If my departing flight is at 16:05pm on the 5th of March, will I be OK? Assuming I check in around 14:00? Many Thanks for any advice.

Hi, it is ok. The 72 hour is counted from the time you get your transit permit at the airport, but not the time of flight landing and leaving.
