What is the best (reasonable & fastest) way to travel from Shanghai to Yangzhou?

You can take bullet train from Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station to Zhenjiang first, then transfer to bus quickly to Yangzhou.

The journey takes around an hour.
Of course you can book in advance, but I do not think it is necessary. The trains are frequent and you can buy easily at the railway station.
