Last train going to Shanghai from Hangzhou

Hi. I just want to ask if it is possible for us to watch the Lake Impression show at night in Hangzhou and be back to shanghai after the show ? Can we catch the last train? Is it safe ? In as much as we would like to stay one night for the show , we are a bit worried because we do have a flight to catch the following day at around 5pm. Please advise. Thank you.
