travel on feb 14-17 to hong kong

my family will travel to Hong Kong  on Feb. 14 -17, 2013, since Chinese new year falls on Feb 9-10, Are the shops open by this time when we travel. Thank you.

As I know, many shopping malls and shops usually reopen and operate as usual since the fourth the first month of Chinese lunar year. Nanmely, it should be Feb. 13, 2013. So during your travel, it will be easy for shopping. Don't worry!
