Does Guilin have Fireworks Festival (Dong) on February 5, 2013? Is it is worth while to attend?

I will arrive there on February 3, 2013 to see the fireworks on the Feb 5th. My Frommer's travel guide book says it is fix on Feb 5 in Western calendar. Is this true? Where is the best place to see the fireworks? Last year January 2012 I saw the fireworks show in Hong Kong, but this year want to be in Gui lin and have good view. Thank you.

Do you mean the Dong Nationality Fireworks Festival?
This festival will be celebrated on Apr. 12, 2013 to Apr. 12, 2013 and the time is changeable according to Chinese lunar calender. So I think the time you go may not be the best time.
To Guilin, it may be little hard to see the fireworks. Some districts there are not allowed to light the fireworks.

For example,in Chengyang, the huapao Festival is held on the 3rd day of the 1st month of the lunar year;in
Meilin it's the 2nd day of the 2nd lunar month;in Fulu,it is the 3rd day of the 3rd lunar month;in Linxi,it is as late as 26th of the 10th lunar month.Hope it helping you in Guangxi.
