i want to visit shanhaiguan pass then head straight to chengde.

Question

Will it be faster for me to  just  take a bus to Chengde ? How do I go about doing that? thanks.

Hi, I suggest you take a train from Shanhaiguan to Qinhuangdaoin about 15 min. Upon arrival Qinhuangdao, you can easily find the General Bus Station, where you can catch a bus to Chengde.
