About:China Visa Application in USA

From Hong Kong enter China visa question

I am a USA citizen. My chinese visa shows that I must enter before 13APR2013. I plan to enter on 3APR2013. The duration is 90 days. During this 90 days, May I go to visit Hong Kong from China and enter China again after 13APR2013? Do I need a new application? Do I need my friend's invitation letter?

Thanks.

Check your visa carefully, if it is a single entry, you can not re-enter China if you leave for HK during this 90 days. You need to apply for a new visa if you want to enter again. For family/friend visit, invitation letter is requried. Anyway,iIt is ok for your above trip if you hold a double entry or multiple entry.
