where is the best place to get a chinese visa (spanish and german passport holders)

hello, we are travelling around asia and we would like to visit china in march. we need a tourist visa (single entry) and could go for it to kuala lumpur, singapore, bangkok, hong kong or colombo. which city would you recommend? do we need a flight ticket out of china and any reservations for hotels in china?
