About:Chinese Consulate in Chicago

Am I able to enter China on a 1 way ticket if I hold an F Visa

I am a resident of the US but an Australian citizen with a letter of invitation to work from my company.

Yes, sure, you can enter China if you get visa.

What I am asking is do I buy a round trip or ONE WAY ticket and if I do purchase a ONE WAY ticket will I be allowed to enter? Often customs wants to see a return ticket in order to allow you to enter the country.

Hi Cathy, don't worry. You will not be asked to show return ticket when going through China Immigration.
