getting shaolin from xian

Question

We would like to visit the Shaolin Temple coming from Xi'an, could you please tell us how to get there?We would probably stay overnight somewhere, if you could also tell us which town to stay in and if there are any other attractions worth seeing while we're there.Thanks :)

Hi, you can take a train from Xian to Luoyang. Upon arrival, you can walk to the nearby bus station to catch a direct bus to the temple.If you take the high-speed train from Xian North, you will get to Longmen Railway Station. Upon arrival, you can take bus no. 33 or 28 to Luoyang Railway Station. Then go to the nearby bus station to take a bus to your detination. There are many express hotels near the attraction such as Songshan Hotel, Guojiao Hotel and Chanju International Hotel. You can find a suitable one when getting there.
