hi, i am a cambodian nationalist and want to get chinese visia to join exchange program in beijing

my passport date is due in June 2013. My planned trip to Beijing is on March 6, 2013. As a rule, a passport has to be 6 months before expiration. In my case, am I still eligible to apply for a visa?
