About:Year of the Snake

What kind of snake am I? I was born 24th May 1965.

I have heard people say they are water snake, black snake. How do they know? Does it make any difference in seeking any sort of fortune, health, etc.

ok now Im more confuse - one saying fire snake and now 2 r saying wood snake?
