How far apart should I book a train connection going from Jilin to Changchun and then Changchun to Harbin?

Hi, you need to change to another one 2 hrs before the original one departs. And if your 2nd one departs in the same station with your 1st arrival station, 2 hrs is ok, if not, you may need 4 hrs, I think. By the way, you can take a D train from Jilin to Harbin directly.
