Transit Visa for China

I'm traveling from United states to India via Beijing. I have a halt of 15 hours at Beijing and would like to know if i need a transit Visa? How to apply for it and what are the fee structure for the same.

I and my wife has an Indian Passport (with Valid VISA for United States) and my baby holds a United States Passport.

Visa is not required for you to transit in Beijing if the transit is less than 72 hours. But your wife needs one if she wants to go out of the airport during transit.
