I'm staying at Howard Johnston hotel at Kunming.Where's good shopping area nearby and get there?

There are many shopping malls along Xiongcheng Road which is about 2.5~3km away from the hotel. You can easily get a taxi there.

Is there a market place where they sell local handicrafts near Kunming Wenhui hotel?

I know Nanping Pedestrian has many local handicrafts. It is about 4km from Wenhui Hotel.
