About:Former Residence of Lu Shaoxu

I have a 6 month, 2 entry visa, each entry for 60 days and I want to extend it.

The first entry will run out in about 10 days, I will be in the GZ area then. Can I extend this twice for 30 days each, then exit China, re-enter on the 2nd entry? Is there a preferred office in GZ, SZ or Foshan?

I am afraid not, you may get an extension with 30 days more but 0 entry if you do it.

Does this mean that if I extend my visa for 30 days, the 2nd half of my visa will become useless? (at the moment I can exit and re-enter the country on my 2 entry visa).

I think you are possibly right. You can consult the officers at the entry port when you enter China for accurate info.

For those who are in similar circumstances, here is what has happened. I went to the Changhsa PSB and was told that I could extend for 30 days BUT the rest of my visa (2nd entry for 60 days) would be cancelled, as Cathy suggested. I will now exit and re-enter, for 60 days then extend for 30 days. While I was there they asked for the registration slip from the hotel, I showed them the pink slip from the hotel which I had specifically asked for, with reasons for wanting it. The PSB told me that it was not the correct one. Suggest you search online for a picture of what the correct one looks like so you will know.
