Transit for 26 hours at Beijing airport

Hi, I'm holding Malaysia passport and plan to go back Malaysia from New York which I have two different flights but the problem is the transit at Beijing is more then 24hours. Do I need apply visa for the 2 hours or I can just stay inside the airport for my transit. Please advice, thanks

You need to apply for a Chinese transit visa in advance.
