Due to the developed economy and abundant culture at that time, the most influential advancement should be the exchange with the Asian countries, especially Japan and North Karea, which sent their students to Chang'an (present Xian) China for learning. Aside from that, the friendly exchange with the Arabic areas introduced Islam and the local pepper to China.
Apart from the above things, great advancements were also achieved in agriculture and handicraft.
