If I start from HKIA, and plan to proceed to guilin, what is the economic way? train or bus?

You can take the east rail from HK to Luohu station and go across the Customs. Walk to Shenzhen railway station nearby to take K952/K949 to Guilin, which will cot you about 14 hrs and 379 RMB for soft sleeper.0
