travelling in hongkong, from philippines

Hi, im american who wants to travel to hong kong for about 3 days. i'll be traveling from philippines, do i need a tourist visa? I also want to bring along my boyfriend who is a filipino citizen, he has a philippines passport but does he also need one for hong kong? if so, what are the requirements from both of us?
