From Guangzhou to Xiqiao mountain

Well, you can go to Fangcun Bus Station to take a bus to Xiqiao. You will arrive at Xiqiao Bus Station, where you can transfer to another bus to Xiqiao Mountain directly. The whole journey takes about 1h.
To the peak of the mountain, you can take a tourist bus at the ticketing office or at the entrance of the scenic area.
Don't worry! There are direct buses from Xiqiao to Zumiao.

fangcun stn (bus)=>xiqiao bus stn==>shuttle bus to xiqiao mountain==>tourist bus to peak

Yeah, the route you posted is correct. And Fangcun Bus Station is right at Keng Kou. For other routes, you may also take the bus beside Kengkou MTR Station to Xiqiao Bus Station.
I heard that six buese are on schedule form Canton Liuhua Hotel to Xiqiao Mountain directly. But I am not sure.
Of course you can walk to the peak. It is more interesting than taking a tourist bus.
And at the peak of the mountain, you can enjoy the magnificent statue of Kuan-yin (Nanhai Guanyin).
