It should be to take the direct bus at Hangzhou West Bus Station. The buses operate from 06:30 to 18:50 every 20-30min.1

I see you said there is a direct bus from Hangzhou west bus station to 1000 islands lake.
What is the bus #? Also do you know how long of a bus ride it is?

Yes, frequent buses run for this journey each day, but there is no a certain bus number. Just go to the local West Bus Station to buy the ticket to 1000 Island Lake directly. The bus ride duration is about two hours and twenty minutes.0
