About:China Customs Declaration

Do I need to declare 2 iPhone5s that I am taking to China as a gift? Value worth $1400?

Will they allow me to take it into China or will I have to pay any duty on those?

Well, the China customs regulations say that if one Ipad is over 5,000RMB, the duty (tax)should be paid for the exceeding price. And the tax rate is 20%.
