About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

"For Approval" was written in the pink slip given to us. What does than mean?

My friend submitted our requirements in the Chinese Embassy this morning. We have an invitation letter from an authorized travel agency in China. Along with this, we also submitted our plane booking, forms etc. The lady in the counter returned the plane booking to my friend and was told that it’s no longer necessary. She then gave my friend a pink slip with note “For Approval”. She told my friend to wait for the embassy’s call within 4 days, and if there’s no call then we’ll be the one to follow it up or better go back to the embassy. What do you think is the status of our application, we’re a bit pressured by time coz we’ll be leaving Saturday next week already. Thanks!!

Hi, generally you will get their call for visa collection within 4 working days, so just take it easy.

Thanks Carl! But here in the Philippines, most of the time if your visa is approved, they give you a pink slip and ask you to come back for the pick-up of your passport and visa. In our case, they also gave us a pink slip with "for approval" but were informed to wait for their call instead.

usually the pink slip is deemed approved, sometime they may call you to bring additional documents , but most likely it is a call for you to get your visa

Hi saw your blog ...I was given the pink slip as well does it mean that I was approved for the Chinese Visa? Does it mean that I just need to get my passport and visa? Appreciate your answer.

Thanks
Arlene
