destination recommendation out of shanghai.

Question

We (wife and I)  will be there for 4 days on a Corporate Trip In March 2013 and are able to extend our time in China if we wish.Can you offer some ideas on destinations out of the city that would be suitable to extend our trip?Maybe a high speed train somewhere that would offer somethimg to additional as part of our China visit?

After visiting this city, you can take high speed train or bullet train to Nanjing, Hangzhou or Suzhou for a visit. It also has high speed train to Beijing. These cities I mentioned are all worth visiting.
