is there direct bus service from xiamen airport to anxi.

Question

I need to to attend a ceremony at my parent's home village off QuanZhou from 10-14 Dec 2012. I want to take this opportunity to tour a few places in Fujian province before and after the ceremony dates.   I will touch down at XM airport on 8 Dec, and will leave on 22 Dec. Hence, I can tour one of the places listed above before heading for my home village; and then cover other places after 14 Dec. But I'm not sure which place listed above is served the long distance bus service from Xiamen Airport. This is the first time I am going F&E tour in Fujian. I would appreicate if you could advise me on the bus service, and help suggest an itinerary which will help to save time and trasnport cost. Thanks alot.

Hi, no direct bus is available at the airport to the above cities. But the buses between these destinations are very convenient. Well, here is my suggestion about your tour:Fuzhou comes first. You can take the airport shuttle bus at Gaoqi Airport to Songbai Bus Station to take a bus to Fuzhou for travel. Then Quanzhou for the ceremony. For the jouney, you can take the bullet train to reach Quanzhou in about an hour. After the ceremony, you can tavel as the following route:Quanzhou - Putian -  Xianyou -  Yongchun - Anxi For these destinations, intercity buses are most convenient. When you finish all the city travel, you can take a long-distance bus to XM and then to catch the flight back.

Thanks very much for your suggestion. May I know what would be the best arrangement to keep my luggage somewhere while we tour Fuzhou? It is not practical for me to lug the heavy luggage around the whole journey while touring Fuzhou?  By the way, how far is the Songbai bus station from the Xiaman Airport? Is Songbai a bus station for long distance bus service?

Hi, as I suggested, you may take the bullet train to Quanzhou. Thus you can store your large, heavy luggage at Fuzhou Railway Station. By that, after visiting, you can directly get your luggage and go for the latter trip. It is not far from the airport to the bus station, within 10km. If you take a taxi, it cost about CNY20. And Songbai Bus Station is a long-distance service bus terminal actually.
