About:Wild Great Wall in Beijing

Winter travel to wall

Is travel to Badaling or Mutianyu from Beijing likely to be difficult in the winter/late February? If so,which is safer and more reliable? Train? Bus? Private tour? Thank you.

Well, in winter time, especially during the worse days, it is a bit difficult to do this trip. If it rains or snows, the road condition will be not good, may be very slippery. For safer, you'd better choose to take the train to Badaling or you can join a tour which may arrange this journey well for you.
