Ningbo to Putuoshan

Should I set off from Ningbo to Putuoshan in the morning? what is the best way to get there from Ningbo/ how long does it take, should I stop at Zhoushan first? and the last bus to Ningbo from Putuoshan is around what time? Any places other than Putuoshan I should visit?

You can take bus from the North Passenger Transport Station to Beilun Daxie Island. It takes about one hour. Then take ferry from Daxie Ferry Terminal to Putuo Mountain. The ferry journey is about 70 minutes. The joint ticket fare is CNY70. The last ferry from Putuo Mountain to Daxie Ferry Terminal is at 16:40. Then you can take bus back to Ningbo downtown area.
