I intend to bring my 80year old parents to Taipei at end dec, is it a good idea?

Well, it is OK for you to bring you parents to get there since it has a nice climate at that time. It is cool and pleasant with a temperature of 15~20C. The temperature may get down when it rains but not too cold. You just need to prepare a piece of warm coat for your parents.1
