Is it possible to go up Mt Huangshan by our own without tour guide?

Which hotel is the nearest to the cable car station?

Surely you can with a sightseeing map of the mountain. You can get it in the website:

As for the hotel, I suggest you go to the Paiyunlou Hotel or Beihai Hotel, which are close to Yungu Cable Station.
