Do i need a tranzit visa through Guangzhou airport?

Dear sir,
I am a passport holder of republic of Kazakhstan, but currently i am resident of France.
Next month i am travelling to a Thailand through GZ. The tranzit time will be less than 24 h and i do not have in plans to exit airport. My question is do i i need a tranzit visa for short connection flight?
