Can I fly to Huang Shan from BeiJing? Would like to visit Wu Tai Shan & also Dung Huang if possible.

What is the best plan to do all 3 places as a pilgrimage in 2013, not to be rushing around and just taking pictures, but relaxing journey and do some prayers and meditations. I will be travelling on my own or with a friend. Would 2 weeks be enough? please suggest an itinerary and where to stay. Best time to travel?

Yes, of course you can. You can fly to there first and then fly to Xian. Xian can be used as a transfer station to reach Mt Wutai and Dunhuang. From Xian, you can fly to Dunhuang first and then go back to Xian. Then take a train for Taiyuan to reach Wutai Mountain. In my opinion, September is the best time to visit all these places and two weeks are enough.
To Huangshan, it is suggested to reach there in the afternoon and stay on the mountain that day waiting for the sunrise the next day. After finishing visiting, you can directly fly to Xian, where you can find many hotels such as Bell Tower Hotel and Melody Hotel. In Dunhuang, Dunhuang Hotel is recommended for you. As for the hotel around Mt Wutai, it is hard for me to suggest, because it depends on your travel. I am not very clear about whether you need to stay in Taiyuan or not,so I suggest you to decide at that time. If you have any other question, you can ask me at that time. I hope thiese information are useful for you.

Thank you Amy, most appreciated. Do you know roughly how long is the flight from Xian to Dunhuang? or train to Dunhuang? Dunhuang to Beijing? In order to save traveling time, can all these locations be done by air flights? Do you do booking for travellers?

Hi, it takes about two hours and twenty minutes from Xian to Dunhuang by air.
Only one train run each day - K591. It takes nealy 23h for the whole journey.
No direct air can take you from Dunhuang to Beijing. So you can transfer at Xian. The whole journey from Dunhuang to Beijing by air takes about 6h.
I recommend you book the flight at TravelChinaGuide, which I used amny times both for train and air ticket booking. If needed, you can mail them to travelchinaguide.com|booking to reserve the tickets in advance.
When you have any problems, they have very seasoned operators.
May help you!
