I am visiting ST as a kind of heritage tour with my family. We would like to visit areas where there are rich flavours of Teochew heritage. We plan to fly into ST, visits neighbouring Chaozhou as it is an ancient city, and obviously experience all Teochew culture like Gongfu Tea, Teochew Opera etc. Any suggestions please? As we are unfamiliar with the area, we would like to stay in a hotel whereby there is a convenient way to and fro the airport (it could be train, coach buses, etc) but also central to the city. Well, as I know, the Overseas Chinese Hotel in the city has direct shuttle bus to Jieyang Chaoshan Airport. Upon arrival at the airport, you can take the airport shuttle bus ST west line to the hotel which is the final bus stop.
