About:Chinese Embassy in New Zealand

What is the "duration " of a Chinese visa, Tourism.

I wish to stay in China from 2 to 6 months. I won't know untill I am there exactly how long. What is the maximum numbers of days, without re-entries, will they allow me for my stay. I will be sending my passport to Wellington for the application, thanks so much.

Generally, a single entry has 30 days as duration, you can extend it at most twice in China with 30 days each. So, 90 days in total. If you will stay longer than 90 days, you have to leave and get new visa agian. Or you just apply for a double entry or multiple entries in the begining.

You can fill this request to your application form. But even if you get a single entry, it is ok. You can apply for a new one from HK or Macao then.
