About:Chinese Embassy in Australia

plane ticket and dates?

I plan to stay for 6 weeks on a TOURIST VISA with a Chinese citizen friend in Shanghai. Will I need to purchase the air ticket BEFORE applying for it?? Also, can I stay for 6 weeks on a single entry???

Hi, a single entry visa has duration of 30 days, you can apply for an extension if you need to stay for 6 weeks. You need to book tickets in advance unless you can provide invitation letter form your friend.
